Bali Breakfast love

I don't know if it applies for most Aussies or for those of you who travel to Bali but i know every time my Mum goes, Nasi goreng is a must! I know quite a few travellers like to indulge in the cheaper sides of Bali food where you can get corn and satay sticks on the streets for a few dollars and gorge on it as you walk and explore. Others are all about the rice and noodle dishes, the Nasi Goreng, the fish/ chicken and rice especially when they put it out as a breakfast option and you can carb up! Me? I like the pretty stuff that tastes good! Silly? Maybe but i just feel like it makes me happy when people are creative with their food and your eyes light up as they bring it out to the table. Far from my knowledge was that Bali was totally onto this! Exploring Seminyak i found some beautiful breakfast spots (i am all about breakfast) that delivered not only some beautiful dishes but some seriously tasty dishes too.

'Pancakes & Red Berries (105k) strawberry compote, white chocolate cream, almond matcha granola, raspberry sorbet',

I knew I had to try it and boy... did it not disappoint. The service was quite quick, the staff were welcoming and super friendly offering their hello's and well wishes at every turn and once the plate was put in front of me, I was excited! It was beautifully presented and to be honest tasted amazing! The pancakes were fluffy, the sorbet wasn't overpowering and the matcha granola was ultimate goodness. I couldn't finish it all but if my stomach allowed me too i would have definitely tried!

And then... I found it so good i had to go again...'

Chocolate Brioche French Toast salted caramel, banana & yoghurt sorbet (98k)'

So if you do make it to Seminyak, and want some pretty tasty meals, ensure that 'Sisterfields' is on your list and yes lads.. they do some real meaty dishes too such as ' Charcoal Breakfast Burger bacon, fried egg, crispy onions, truffled mushroom, rocket, emmental, hollandaise (95k)'.

Get amongst it!

Here are a list of a few other devine meal places we had the pleasure of trying: Cafe Organic

Much to my sister and her partner's sadness, Cafe Organic really is all about the goodness and so this sadly meant... no bacon! So if you are a mighty bacon fiend this one might not be quite your scene but if you love yourself an smoothie bowl with plenty of varieties or the good ol smashed avo with a side of coffee topped with coco-whip then this place is for you! Once again just a walk around from Villa Mystique Cafe Organic is a pretty cafe lined with pineapples as table centres and a double sided menu with choices a plenty. I decided upon an 'Acai Coco - Acai berry, raspberries, passionfruit, almonds, banana, blueberries, strawberries, mango, oats, toasted granola & shredded coconut (75K) sided with a caramel latte topped with coco-whip!'

Totally worth the visit!

My family had absolutely been dying to go to this place as we heard the burgers were next level. It was about a 30 min walk (we walked back to the hotel) or of course a short taxi ride to this place and it was easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled for a neon strawberry sign otherwise you may do an us and drive straight past it. We went for 'brunch' so my family could demolish the burgers but i still sided with a breakfast dish choosing the 'Dragon bowl Z - a vitality bowl of pink dragon fruit, chia seeds, coconut, goji berries topped with kiwi fruit, mango, coconut and house granola (75k).' Sadly they nearly forgot about my dish and it was the last to come out after the burgers so we found the service wasn't on point but it was a pretty delicious vitality bowl. The burgers that were demolished were: '

The Colonel Sanders - Buttermilk fried chicken with 11 herbs & spices, double american cheese, crispy AF bacon & slaw with Carolina gold BBQ sauce (90K)' & 'The Out-N-In Burger - Aussie Wagyu beef patty, double american cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomato, fresh onion rings, pickles & SF out -n-in sauce (85K)' & ''Notorious P.I.G. loaded fries - Pimped out beer battered fries with bacon, chorizo sausage, maple aioli, shallots & melted cheddar (75K).'

Holy moly!

The family friends we had the pleasure of sharing this trip with, love the 'Fat Turtle.' I heard the red velvet pancakes were worth the visit and so one Bali morning, the Fat Turtle restaurant was where we found ourselves. It's quiet a small, quaint venue but the staff were lovely and the food delicious especially when they make matcha frozen yoghurt taste good!
